What We Do
TWIYO exposes Brooklyn youth to diverse activities to advance their interest in being active, engaged citizens and advocates of social change. We provide opportunities for our youth to become engaged leaders in New York City, participate in and experience new things - while fostering critical thinking and skill development. We better our youth's understanding of global perspectives and their valuable place within the world at large.
How We Do It
Through our Experiential 360 program, TWIYO implements evidenced based curriculum, culturally relevant instruction, project-based activities and engagement.
We equip our youth with the tools to bridge connections to their own experiences, the skills they possess, their lives, and the world. Our instruction is youth-centric, experiential, and project-based.
Our program allows us to meet our mission of broadening horizons by creating a cycle that allows inner city youth to see themselves, their communities, and the world differently.
